How to Multiply Two Columns in Google Sheets
Type =A2*B2 to multiply the first pair, then drag down. To do the whole column in one formula, use =ARRAYFORMULA(A2:A*B2:B).
=A2*B2
Multiplies the two cells in that row. Drag the fill handle down to apply it to every row.
How it works
The * operator multiplies two values. For a whole column without dragging, wrap the multiplication in ARRAYFORMULA so one formula spills down every row. To sum the products directly (quantity times price, totalled) use SUMPRODUCT, which multiplies pairwise and adds the results in a single step.

Spills down automatically. Blank rows return 0.
Multiply and sum in one step

Great for quantity times price when you only want the grand total.
